Amy Juergens is a 15 year old in High School. She plays the French horn and is the classic good girl until she finds out she's pregnant after a one-night-stand with Ricky Underwood at band camp. Before anyone finds out she is pregnant, she begins dating Ben Boykewich. Amy and Ben fall for one another and even though she is pregnant, he does not care. Amy has a baby boy in the season one final, whom her sister names John.As season two opens, Amy is struggling to be a teenage mother and a student at the same time. She is exhausted most of the time and tries to unload her responsibilities on others. While getting help is fine, being a child herself, she seems to think help means do everything for me.
