Bail Prestor Organa was Princess Leia Organa's adoptive father and a friend of Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Rahm Kota. He was married to Queen Breha Organa of Alderaan and was, as Prince Consort, head of the royal house and ruler of Alderaan. He was formally styled as His Serene Highness, Prince Bail Organa, First Chairman and Viceroy of Alderaan. In the Rebel Alliance and its successor states, the New Republic and Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, he was respected as a martyr who died for his cause. Senator Bail Organa was loyal to the Republic and Jedi Council. When Chancellor Palpaltine ordered the murder of all Jedis, he felt that The Senator could become a threat. The Chancellor summoned The Senator for a trap. When the stormtroopers proceed to kill The Senator, Padawan Zet Jukassa appeared to defend him and allow escaping, but The Padawan losing his life.When Pe died in childbirth, Bail Organa adopted her daughter, Leia.Presumably, Bail Organa was killed along with many inhabitants when the planet Alderaan was destroyed to test the Death Star.
