His jokes often come from the heart, but also, sometimes harshly, from what he sees as truth that his friends want to avoid. Xander pokes fun at others and also at himself, often as a self-defense mechanism before others can.He comes from a dysfunctional home with parents who are absent much of the time, drink too much, bicker often, and do not appear to appreciate or him.Xander is a good and loyal friend and even though he may not be physically gifted he does what he can to be a valuable contributor to the gang.
